NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nashville Mayor John Cooper delivered the 59th State of Metro address targeting neighborhoods, education and community safety.
“Today, you got a big investments in education, community safety and the city fundamentals, like picking up trash and litter and building sidewalks,” said Mayor Cooper.
Tennessee lawmakers want to lower the age from 21 to 18 to legally carry and conceal a firearm with no training or registration.
“All this is doing is removing infringements on your second amendment rights provided by God first and our constitution,” said Representative Chris Todd, District 73 Madison County.
And, mask mandates are no longer in effect, but now COVID cases and hospitalizations are starting to rise again.
Democrats are sounding off, accusing Republicans of shutting off debate on the House floor on controversial bills from pipelines to anti-LGBTQ legislation.
