Many areas in Middle Tennessee had a stormy start to Sunday with frequent lightning and thunder, as well as heavy downpours prompting flood advisories and warnings in several counties.
Although some areas could see a break at times, more storms are anticipated this afternoon as well as overnight tonight and on Monday and Tuesday.
Any of these storms could produce gusty winds and hail, as well as heavy downpours and frequent lightning.
There is some good news coming our way for Tuesday night and Wednesday:
After bringing storms through Tuesday, a cold front will sweep the air clean Tuesday night into Wednesday bringing lower temperatures and humidity. Daytime highs on Wednesday should only be in the mid-80s in the sunshine, with nighttime lows falling into the comfortable 60s.
