The Weather Authority

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for parts of S. KY & the Plateau through 12pm Saturday. In this area is where the highest totals will fall.

Snow showers continue tonight and with the gusty winds there could be limited visibility. Also, untreated roads will get slick so please be careful.

Snow continues overnight into Saturday early afternoon. It will last the longest on the Plateau where we could see the highest accumulation. West of I-24 & south of I-40 we are only expect a coating to 1/2″ of snow, but east of I-24 & north of I-40 we could see a half inch to 1 inch of snow. However, on the higher elevations of the Plateau we could see 1-2+ inches.

Saturday will be cloudy and cold with highs around 40. There could be more flurries late Saturday afternoon and night into Sunday especially north and east. It will be blustery both Saturday & Sunday.

Next week we gradually warm up and could see periods of rain Wednesday into Friday.
