We’ve been talking about it all week — severe weather. Learning about it is vital to keeping you and your family safe when storms hit.

This weekend you have a chance to learn more about how to stay safe through the National Weather Service’s “Severe Weather Awareness Day” in Nashville.

NWS Meteorologist Brittney Whitehead and the weather service’s mascot joined Neil and Nikki in the News 2 studio for Friday’s NewsMaker to give some tips and teasers ahead of this weekend’s event.

NWS’s Severe Weather Awareness Day is at Trevecca Nazarene University on Saturday, March 2 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. News 2 Meteorologists Danielle Breezy, Davis Nolan and Mary Mays will all be stopping by — we hope you will, too!
