NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Wednesday, primarily during the afternoon to early evening as a cold front moves through. This morning, a few stronger storms are possible along and west of I-65.
This afternoon, the greatest threat of severe weather shifts east of I-65. A marginal (level 1/5) & slight risk (2/5) is in effect for these areas.
The main threat will be damaging wind gusts with any storm that develops, but an isolated tornado or two can not be ruled out especially east of I-65. Hail is also a concern.

Storms will track west to east in the afternoon and evening. Rain will end after dinner time and cooler air works its way in for the remainder of the week.
