NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A motorcycle crash that occurred on Interstate 65 southbound near Trinity Lane on Thursday afternoon killed a Joelton man.
According to Metro Police, 49-year-old Randy Follis Jr. was killed at 12:15 p.m. when he lost control of his Yamaha motorcycle and struck a guardrail. Investigators believe Follis was driving at a high rate of speed when he hit a pothole. No other cars were involved in the crash.
Follis was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died, there was no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement at the scene.
The interstate was closed southbound until nearly 4 p.m. but has since reopened to traffic.
