PRINCETON, Ky. (WKRN) – Four people were killed and another critically injured in a two vehicle accident in Caldwell County, Kentucky, Saturday morning.
The crash occurred on Interstate 69 at mile marker 79 around 11 a.m.
Kentucky State Police reported a 2013 Chevy Camaro was traveling northbound on I-69 when it lost control, crossed the median and collided with a 2014 Ford Explorer.
The driver of the Camaro, identified as 66-year-old Thomas Hughes, of Princeton, Kentucky, and driver of the Explorer, 73-year-old Raymond Vilvens, of Batavia, Ohio, as well as two passengers in the Explorer were all pronounced dead at the scene.
The passengers who were killed were identified as Carolyn Vilvens, 69, and Linda Franz, 66, both from Ohio.
A third passenger was air lifted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, where she was listed in critical condition.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
No additional information was immediately released.
