Winds gusted ahead of a powerful cold front during the day today throughout Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. Wind advisories were in place through mid-afternoon. Heavy rain also filled area creeks and rivers.

Winds gusted over 40 mph throughout much of the area. The Nashville Airport recorded gusts right at 38 mph while Clarksville, Lebanon, Livingston, and Dickson all recorded gusts above 40 mph. These winds did leave some damage in their wake.

Siding was ripped off of the side of an apartment complex in Spring Hill Wednesday morning as the gusty winds tore through the area.

The City of Clarksville closed the McGregor Riverwalk due to rising river levels. The Riverwalk will be closed until the Cumberland River recedes.
