National Weather Service confirms 2 EF-1 tornadoes hit Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The National weather service has confirmed two EF-1 tornadoes hit Middle Tennessee when storms blew through the area Saturday night.

The NWS in Nashville says the first EF-1 tornado touchdown was in Joelton with winds up to 105 mph.

Another EF-1 tornado touched down near Percy Priest Lake and traveled to the Gladeville area before it lifted. That tornado contained 100 mph winds.PHOTOS: Severe weather on Nov. 18, 2017

NWS experts said they planned to survey Trousdale and Smith counties Monday.

No injuries were reported in the weather service’s damage survey released Sunday.
