For the second time in less than a year, a fixture in the Nashville skyline came crashing down early Saturday.
The Sullivan Tower at 9th Avenue North and Commerce Street was successfully imploded at 8:30 a.m.
It’s part of the Nashville Yards project, which will include a movie theater, music venue and bowling alley.
The first phase of the demolition happened in January 2018 when the LifeWay Tower was imploded.
Phase one of the Nashville Yards project, a new Hyatt Regency hotel, is expected to open in late 2020.
