The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was called out to investigate a reported officer-involved shooting in Kingsport, Tennessee, on Wednesday morning.
The shooting occurred on the 100 block of Mullins Street in Kingsport Wednesday morning.
According to a release from the Kingsport Police Department, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call around 5:30 a.m.
When officers arrived, a suspect showed a weapon resulting in one or more officers firing their gun.
The suspect is currently being evaluated at a local hospital.
Kingsport police and the local district attorney have requested TBI conduct an independent investigation into the matter. The names of the officers involved in the incident have not been released this time.
