HIXON, Tenn. (WKRN) — A statewide AMBER Alert was cancelled Friday morning after an alert citizen spotted the missing East Tennessee girl along with the man who reportedly took her.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported Octavia Shaw, a toddler almost 2-years-old, was found safe with Matias Martinez near the area where they disappeared.

Octavia was taken Thursday from a street in Hixon.

The TBI added Matias Martinez to the Top 10 Most Wanted List because they believe he took the child from a traffic stop. There is also a $2,500 reward for information that leads to his arrest.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped a car driven by a woman with Octavia and a man as passengers.

Deputies asked the man, identified as Matias, to stand outside the car with Octavia in the shade while they questioned a woman about some active warrants. During the questioning, they realized Matias had left the scene with the little girl.

There was an active warrant for kidnapping for Martinez. He has been taken into custody though what he is charged with was not immediately released.

There was a $2,500 reward for information that led to his arrest.
