A man was car-jacked by two teenagers at a gas station just west of Goodlettsville Saturday night, according to Metro Police.

15-year-old Deontaye Gooch-Blacksmith was arrested a short time after the incident.

Police said it was around 7 p.m. when the victim and his daughter stopped for gas at a Shell station on Brick Church Pike Friday.

When the man went inside to pay, he left his keys in the ignition. That’s when police said Gooch-Blacksmith and a 13-year-old girl jumped in.

The man reportedly tried to stop the teens as they got into the vehicle but backed off after allegedly being verbally threatened.

The teens were arrested a short time later when the stolen truck was spotted near Revels Drive and Highland Trace Drive.

Gooch-blacksmith is now charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, and running from police.

The name of the 13-year-old girl was not released.
