An area of showers and thunderstorms will move into western Middle Tennessee for late this afternoon then move east through this evening. Another wave of storms could affect the mid-state overnight into Monday morning.
The Storm Prediction Center has updated their “Slight Risk” category to include most of Middle Tennessee.
The biggest threats are damaging winds, heavy rain and hail, but an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out, as strong upper level winds will combine with abundant moisture with both systems.
