NFL Draft fans, marathon runners converge on Lower Broadway

Cleaning crews were out early Saturday morning preparing for day three of the NFL Draft — but that’s not all that’s happening on Broadway on Saturday. The starting line for the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon is also right down on 8th Avenue and Broadway!

Nashville could see the biggest crowds downtown so far due to both events.

According to city officials, an estimated 200,000 people were on Broadway both Thursday and Friday night for the NFL Draft.

Metro police tweeted Saturday morning that 30,000 people also registered for the marathon.

Today’s marathon winner has made it to the podium before!

Members with the Franklin Road Runners were out early for the marathon, but some said they plan on staying for the draft festivities as well.

Round 4 of the NFL Draft starts at 11 a.m. Saturday. Teams will make their four final draft picks today. For real-time updates, click here.
