A Nashville woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she stole over $10,000 in items from homes she was hired to clean.
Metro police reported 36-year-old Cynthia Ward is charged with two counts of theft for two separate incidents.
The first happened in December 2017 when police say Ward was hired to clean an apartment in the Gulch but instead reportedly stole cash, gift cards, an iPad, a Louis Vuitton planner and a camera.
Ward would typically clean for up to two hours but key card access records to the apartment show she came and went for over six hours, which is when the $4,000 of items were taken, according to police.
On Tuesday, Ward was supposed to be cleaning another home when she allegedly stole $7,000 in property.
Metro police said the daughter of the homeowner returned home to find Ward moving items from the home to her vehicle.
Ward was booked into the Metro jail and charged with theft. She has since bonded out of jail.
