Metro police arrested a man Friday night who they say fired nearly twenty gunshots into a home with a woman and four children inside of it.
19-year-old Gregory Patton was arrested late Friday and booked into the Metro jail, according to police reports.
The victim said she was arguing with her boyfriend when he allegedly called Patton, his nephew, for back-up, police said.
A report stated that when Patton showed up at the woman’s home he shouted for her to come outside, then ordered her to “lay them kids down, I’m about to shoot your whole house up.”
Patton is accused of then firing multiple shots at the home while the woman and her children took cover, said police. They recovered 17 spent shell casings at the scene and added that the incident was captured on surveillance video.
Patton is facing several charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
There were no reports of injury.
