The Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department responded to a three-story house fire Sunday morning in the 800 block of Banner Drive.
Officials said the fire broke out around 6:30 a.m. and was contained to the garage of the home. The inside reportedly has smoke damage throughout.
Two residents will have to find a new place to stay for now, but officials on the scene said the American Red Cross was ready with assistance if needed.
According to Battalion Chief Tim Swann, the garage is a total loss
“The initial knockdown of the fire was completed within 10-15 minutes of arriving on the scene,” Swann said.
