A 15-year old boy was charged with reckless homicide after an accidental shooting in Antioch Friday night resulted in the death of another teenager.

Officers went to the house in the 3800 block of Swan Ridge Drive around 7 p.m. after a neighbor heard a gunshot and screaming.

Metro police said the boy mishandled a stolen pistol. The gun fired after he pulled the slide back and released it when the two boys were playing with the gun, according to Metro police.

The gunshot killed 16-year old Mina Fawzy at his home in Antioch.

Initially, police reported that Fawzy was handling the gun and accidentally shot himself in the head. But late Friday night, they determined that the younger boy fired the gun.

Police have not released his name. No additional information was released.
