After reporting 3,500+ hospitalizations for the first 16 days of September, the Department of Health has reported four straight days of numbers below 3,500. Tennessee began the month on a 10-day streak of new record-highs for current COVID hospitalizations.

There are currently 960 people in the Intensive Care Units with 694 of them on ventilators.

As of September 20, 2021:

  • Floor Beds Available: 1,167 (11%)
  • ICU Beds Available: 120 (6%)
  • Adult Ventilators Available: 1,887 (59%)
  • Airborne Infection Isolation Rooms Available: 497 (34%)
