You know it’s nearing the start of football season when the Titans host their annual 7 on 7 passing tournament at St. Thomas Sports Park.

12 high schools, 10 from Tennessee took part in today’s event. It’s great for both the Titans and local high schools, giving the kids the chance to get into football mode and play in the same facilities as the pros.

Kevin Creasy, Oakland head coach said, “it gets our guys excited to come in here to the NFL facilities you know we are real grateful for the Titans for opening up their facilities to us and being great hosts and trying to build on the relationships with high schools and the Titans. And of course, our guys love seeing where these guys practice at. Hopefully one day they’ll make it to that level and they all have dreams just like all of us and they wanna make it to this level so it’s pretty cool to be at these facilities.”

Among the participants were two of the area’s top prospects in Pearl Cohn wide receiver Jayden Harrison who committed to Vanderbilt and Oakland cornerback Woodi Washington who committed to Oklahoma.

Both players enjoyed the Titans passing camp and they told News 2 why they chose their respective schools.

Jayden Harrison, who’s heading to Vanderbilt, said, “The academic program and the coaching staff, their coaching staff is the only school in my selection that stayed the same all the other coaching staff changed during the past year.”

Woodi Harrison says he chose Oklahoma because “they’re a passing conference so I’ll get to play against a lot of top quarterbacks in the nation and my relationship with Coach Cooks and Coach Riley as well.”
