Titans lose Tye Smith to injured reserve

Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans got a little thinner Tuesday placing cornerback Tye Smith on injured reserve.

Smith played 15 games for the Titans in 2017 and piled up 19 tackles and picked off one pass.

The Titans also waived (with injury) defensive lineman Claude Pelon.  He was added after the team waived Kevin Dodd

General manager Jon Robinson filled the two roster spots with a pair of defensive linemen adding Johnny Maxey and Du’Vonta Lampkin.

Maxey (6-5, 283) was on the Titans practice squad for the final month of the 2017 season and was waived this past April.

Lampkin (6-4, 335) is an undrafted college free agent, who played two years at Oklahoma with 28 tackles, seven tackles for loss and one sack in 17 career games.
