NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Titans caravan made a stop at the Napier Community center Monday.
Titans corner Dane Cruikshank, linebacker Rashaan Evans, cheerleaders, and T-Rac signed autographs and posed for pictures with kids and parents in attendance.
Throughout the three weeks, the caravan has been rolling through Tennessee. Dozens of players have made appearances, but only Evans has been to every single one.
“Just for me to get out here, see these fans, talk to them and learn about them, two just to show face,” said Evans. “They see us up under these helmets running around playing and making big plays, but for them to see us up close and personal they don’t really get to see our personalities so it’s important.”
Evans doesn’t just show up and go through the motions, he is engaged and always sporting a smile on his face.
“It’s very fun, coming into these different high schools and different areas. It reminds me of my hometown, so it’s just like I’m home feeling when I do these things.”
He does it for them because he wishes he had something like this when he was a kid.
“I didn’t have a chance to really go to some NFL Players to get some things signed and have people talk to me and stuff like that, so just for me not having that when I was younger, I would like to give that back to some of these kids in that situation.”
