Tennessee Tech beats Ole Miss 3-2 to win Regional

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) - Tennessee Tech beat Ole Miss twice Monday 15-5 and 3-2 to advance to the NCAA Baseball Tournament's Super Regionals.

After pounding out 15 runs in game one, the Eagles struggled to push runs across in game two and found themselves down 2-0 in the 7th inning.  Trevor Putzig tied it up in the bottom of the 6th with his 17th homer of the season, a two-run shot that made it 2-2.

Keith Stroschein delivered a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 7th scoring John Ham to give the Golden Eagles their first only lead of the game.

Tech leads college baseball with 52 wins this season and the Golden Eagles advance to play Texas in the round of 16.  They are two wins from going to Omaha for the College World Series.
