Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan won six NBA championships together back during their playing days with the legendary Chicago Bulls teams of the 1990s. They were one of the most dominant duos in NBA history and will forever be linked thanks to all the success they had on the court.

Over recent years, however, it’s become clear that they are no longer close and that Pippen didn’t appreciate the type of teammate Jordan was during those championship seasons.

Pippen made an appearance on former Bulls teammate Stacey King’s podcast this week and made more wild claims about Jordan, including how he was a “horrible player” with the Bulls until Pippen showed up and the team got stronger around him.

Check this out:

Pippen said:

“I seen Michael Jordan play before I came to play with the Bulls. You guys seen him play. He was a horrible player. He was horrible to play with. He was all one-on-one, he was shooting bad shots and all of a sudden we become a team and we start winning and everybody forgot who he was.”

That’s a pretty incredible take because Jordan was far from being a “horrible player” in the early years of his career.
