The Nashville Predators have played 69 games so far in the regular season, but with all the other teams playing catch up, there schedule is a little more friendly in March.
And this week was quite unique. The Preds only play two games, with three days off in between. It’s something that doesn’t happen often, but when it does players make sure to take advantage of getting in some extra practice time.
Ryan Johansen, “Honestly it’s a little weird it’s strange! I don’t think I’ve ever had three days between games. I can’t even remember, so definitely take advantage of it and get some good days of practice in while resting the body.”
“It’s good. Obviously, there are a lot of games, especially in that first half of the season. A week like this is good to recover and you can also work on some stuff,” added Roman Josi.
Head coach Peter Laviolette also mentioned this is a good time for the Predators’ new additions, Wayne Simmonds and Mikael Granlund, to work on catching up and becoming more familiar with the system.
The Predators have 13 games left in the regular season and will continue play on Saturday when they host the Carolina Hurricanes.
