The NFL Draft Experience is ready to open for fans Thursday outside of Nissan Stadium and News 2 is giving you an inside look.

The NFL Draft Experience is two-million square feet of fun — and, according to organizers, Nashville’s NFL Experience will be the biggest footprint in its history.

There are several interactive games at the Experience, so you can practice your touch pass or race against your opponents on a giant, 40-yard-long LED wall.

NFL officials say the goal is to offer something for everyone, NFL fan or not.

“We want to appeal to fans, and maybe people who aren’t fans of the NFL or don’t know what we do — so there’s something for everybody,” Nicki Ewell NFL Director of Events told News 2. That’s why we have a live music stage. We have the food, but then, we also, of course, weave in pro football everywhere we go.”

There are also opportunities to learn more about the history of the NFL, visit the NFL Hall of Fame Museum, check out the rings from 52 Super Bowls or get an up-close look at a locker room.

“We are celebrating our 100th season so we want to make sure that we are paying homage to the history of the NFL — so that’s important for us,” Ewell said. “But if you just like cold beer and music, come on down! You don’t have to love NFL Football, but I think we will convert you a to fan once you get down here.”

In true Nashville fashion, there are also many great photo opportunities for fans at the NFL Experience to show their friends and family at home how much fun they’re having in Music City.

For families that want to come and be part of the action, but not the party downtown, the NFL Experience is for you. You can watch the Draft live on dozens of screens while you play games and have fun.

Everything is free, but to take part in any of the interactive games, you will need to download the free NFL Fan Mobile Pass app

“You need it to interact with all the games. It’s your waiver, so if you want to kick a field goal, run the 40-yard dash, throw a pass at Hail Mary you need Fan Mobile Pass,” Ewell said. “If you want to get a photo with the Vince Lombardi Trophy, it’s in mobile fan pass — but if you [just] want to listen to live music have a cold beer get some Hattie B’s Chicken over at concessions you don’t need it.”

Gates to the Draft Experience will open at noon Thursday.
