Woman leads police on high-speed car chase before attempting to flee carrying baby

Dramatic video shows how a woman led police on a high-speed chase before crashing and attempting to carjack another vehicle while carrying a baby.

It happened in Bexar County in June but the Texas Department of Public Safety released the video Friday.

Caitlyn Rodriguez, 29, was reportedly charged with evading arrest, endangering a child and possession of a controlled substance after the chase.

In the video, Rodriguez can be seen driving a gray Mercedes SUV at speeds up to 100 mph. She was reportedly fleeing from a routine traffic stop.

Officers deployed spike strips and she is seen crashing into another SUV before jumping out of her vehicle and running around to the passenger rear door to take out a baby in a car seat.

Video shows her running across a road where she tried to carjack another driver in an SUV.

Officers move in just as she jumps into the SUV.

The baby was unharmed and released to the custody of the Texas Department of Child Services.
