NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police said foul play is not suspected in a 59-year-old woman’s drowning death.

Hyon Summerville’s body was recovered from Percy Priest Lake near the shoreline of Long Hunter State Park Tuesday night.

Police said Summerville’s crashed car was discovered earlier in the day, just before 5 a.m., on the Hobson Pike Bridge.

According to police, it appeared the 59-year-old woman crossed the center lane before her 2013 Chevrolet Cruz crashed against the bridge’s wall before coming to a rest.

Police said it remains unclear what Summerville did after the crash, but they believe she may have lost her balance and fallen into the water.

Summerville was fully clothed when she was recovered from the lake.

An autopsy revealed there was no indication of trauma.

Friends said at the time of the accident, Summerville was on her way to a Mt. Juliet motel where she worked.
