WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – Willie Nelson is among the headliners slated to appear at the inaugural Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival in September.
The two-day event is scheduled to take place September 26 and 27 at The Park at Harlinsdale in Franklin.
In addition to Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Weezer, The Decemberists, Iron & Wine and Neko Case will perform, some acoustically, with more acts to be announced soon.
Event organizer and Franklin resident Kevin Griffin believes the proximity to Nashville has helped land major artists to this new festival.
“The reaction we’ve had from the music community about Pilgrimage has just been amazing, as well as artists. A lot of artists I didn’t know had my number have called me up who want to play,” Griffin said.
Early bird passes and VIP packages are currently available and single-day passes will go on sale when the full schedule is announced.
A portion of ticket sales will benefit the city of Franklin and MusiCares, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance and addiction recovery resources to members of the music community.
