Homeless man rescues Chiefs player from the snow; gets a big thank you

Weekend Extra

The heavy snow that hit Kansas City, MO last weekend made getting around difficult for even some of the cities toughest folks.

Kansas City Chiefs guard Jeff Allen got stuck in the snow before his game against the Colts on Saturday.

That’s when Dave Cochran, a homeless man who lives out of his truck stepped in to help out.  Using his truck, he was able to pull Allen’s vehicle out of the snow and help him make it to the game.

“I didn’t know who it was,” said Dave Cochran. “I just asked him if he needed help he said ‘yeah.'”

Allen so appreciative, he took to Twitter and to thank Dave.  He wanted to offer him tickets to the Chief’s first ever AFC championship game.

Thanks to the power of social media, Dave was tracked down and in for a surprise.

“If he threw me some gas money, that’s cool, but he did better than that he actually gave me three free tickets, that… come on everybody wants to go to that game.”
