Kicking off at 11 a.m. is Cookeville favorite, “Red, White & Boom!”
The highlight is a 1,000-foot water slide on Broad Street.
There will be six days worth of activities kicking off this weekend but the slide closes down at 8 p.m. today.

In Clarksville, you can take part in always epic Go-Kart Racing!
Gates open at noon, but the racing starts at 3 p.m.
If you have a youngster who wants to race, feel free, kids as young as five can go for a whirl!
Tickets are $5 for children 6-10 and $10 for 11 and up
Classes will be running Box Stock, Stock Appearing Clone, Open Small Block, Open Big Block, Modified Stockers, Kids 5-10, Kids 11-14, Outlaw

The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association will be displaying flags at Patriots Park for Independence Day.
Patriots Park is located in Clarksville and features a beautiful memorial park surrounded by trees and flowers.
It’s totally free to visit and will be decked out with American flags through this Fourth of July week.

It’s a spectacular celebration of independence tonight at Cornerstone Church in Madison.
Come see the “Greatest Show” at 5:00 p.M. This will feature Tennessee’s largest indoor fireworks and a laser light show.
They will have another one tomorrow morning if you can’t make it.
