The weekend has arrived and people are already celebrating Independence Day here in Middle Tennessee.
Kicking off at 11 a.m. is Cookeville favorite, “Red, White & Boom!”
The highlight is a 1,000-foot water slide on Broad Street.
There will be six days of activities starting Saturday. The slide closes at 8 p.m.
A Watermelon Festival is taking place at Lucky Ladd Farms in Eagleville.
Come and see Tennessee’s largest petting farm is all about and enjoy some free watermelon!
You can also beat the heat by cooling off in the splash zone and zipping down inflatable water slides.
Tickets start at $11.
The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association will be displaying flags at Patriots Park for Independence Day.
Patriots Park is located in Clarksville and features a beautiful memorial park surrounded by trees and flowers.
It’s totally free to visit and will be decked out with American flags throughout the Fourth of July week.
It’s a spectacular celebration of Independence tonight at Cornerstone Church in Madison.
Come see the Greatest Show Saturday @ 5 p.m. & Sunday @ 10 a.m. Childcare will only be provided for children ages 0-3.
