Weekend Extra

NASHVILLE, TENN. (WKRN) – We’re kicking things off in downtown Nashville for the 65th Annual Christmas Parade!

News 2 has a float in the parade, so I’ll be there along with other members of the News 2 family.

The parade starts at 1st Avenue and Brandon Street at 8:30 a.m. And if you cannot make it downtown, you can watch it on News 2 beginning at 9 a.m.

Also, we’re going home for the holidays with a special adopt-a-thon.

Help Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control clear the shelter with zero dollar adoption fees.

It’s a win-win as you’ll give these amazing animals a happy home, plus you get to add to your family for free!

The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Then, we’re shopping for a good cause as we kick off December.

Everything five dollars or less at Noah’s Ark Society Center’s annual fundraiser, Paws on the Pavement.

Finally, My Sister’s Closet is donating tons of brand-new items with the tags still on for you to scoop up!

You can also take part in their Christmas Giving Tree for pets.

Goes from 10 a.m to 5 p.m.

News 2 brings you special reports every weekend morning. Click here for our “Weekend Extra” section.
