The live broadcast of the Academy Awards is guaranteed to be filled with drama and suspense.

A lot of critics will be watching to see if the host-less show will be a hit or a flop.

Expect surprises from start to finish, from the opening act with Adam Lambert and Queen to the intensely competitive Best Picture category at the end of the show.

Producers are under pressure to improve on last year’s ratings. As many as 30 million people could be watching worldwide.

News 2’s Nikki Burdine spoke with Entertainment reporter Chris Connelly ahead of the show.

Watch the 91st Academy Awards show only on ABC and News 2.  The Awards show starts at 7 p.m. Central on Sunday. And tune in at 5:30 p.m. for the “Oscars Opening Ceremony: Live from the Red Carpet “
