News

Wednesday marks ten years since the Good Friday tornado hit Middle Tennessee.

It was midday on Friday, April 10, 2009 when an EF-4 cut a path of destruction through Murfreesboro, killing a mother and her infant.

The Highland Park Drive and Tomahawk Trace neighborhoods were just two of the area that saw extreme tornado damage.

Kori Bryant, 30, and her 9-week-old daughter Olivia were killed in the storm. The lot where their home was remains vacant along with two white crosses that still stand in their memory.

Dozens of homes were damaged from the twister that was on the ground for nearly 25 miles.

The EF-4 was one of 10 tornados that swept across Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia.
