Tips sought in cold case search for missing Bedford County siblings

News

More than five years after a house fire in Bedford County prompted a search for two missing siblings, a social media group is working to garner new leads in the case.

Chloie Leverette, 9, and 7-year-old brother Gage Daniel were spending the night with their grandparents on September 23, 2012 when investigators said there was a fire and the home burned to the ground.

The bodies of their grandparents, Mollie and Bubba McClaran were recovered.

It was first believed that the two siblings had died in the fire as well. Forensic anthropologists found no evidence to prove that.

An AMBER Alert was issued for the children but they have not been seen since the fatal fire.

The Facebook group “Missing in Middle Tennessee – Cold Cases” posted Monday night about the case, showing age-progressed photos of Chloie and Gage and providing the latest details on the investigation.

Members of the group are urging anyone with information in the case to contact the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
