Thanks to information from a concerned citizen, officers with Metro police’s youth task force arrested two people, confiscated four guns and recovered a stolen truck.
Metro police reported a citizen’s tip Tuesday night led officers to a stolen Chevy pickup truck parked at an apartment on Ireland Street.
During the execution of a search warrant, three handguns and an AR-15, and a small amount of marijuana were found inside the apartment of 20-year-old Charles Rucker, said investigators.
Rucker and Tavonte Thompson, 20, of Burns Street, both admitted that they had been inside the stolen truck, according to Metro police.
They were each charged with vehicle theft and marijuana possession. Both men denied knowledge of the weapons, which had not been reported stolen.
