A threat of violence on social media brought extra police to Clarksville High School Wednesday.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s department traced the threat to a group chat on Instagram.
Three teens who attend the high school have been detained for questioning.
Sheriff John Fuson said students, parents, school staff and the community should not be alarmed. by the increased presence of deputies.
“We will pick up right where we left off last school year, and prosecute each and every threat to the fullest extent while making examples of those who threaten the safety of our schools,” said Fuson.
