A crash at Interstate 65 and Horseshoe Road in Robertson County took the lives of at least two people Monday evening.
An emergency call came in shortly before 8:30 p.m.
When the Tennessee Highway Patrol got to the scene, they found the wreck on Horseshoe Road.
According to THP Lt. Travis Plotzer, the vehicle was traveling south on I-65. For some reason, it left the highway and ended up on Horseshoe Road.
Investigators have not yet determined exactly how tht happened or why.
The THP was joined by deputies from the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, the EMA and local firefighters.
In addition to the two dead, at least one more person went to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Horseshoe Road was closed for several hours but reopened during the night.
Names of the victims have not yet been released.
