The state of Tennessee has announced a big change to the future of the TN Ready testing program
The testing system has been fraught with problems for the last several years.
In an effort to get things right with a new testing company, the state will go old school for one year.
The Governor’s office has announced the state will temporarily reinstate paper testing for the 2019-2020 school year. That will give the new vendor time to perfect the process for students, teachers and taxpayers.
This year, however, is the final year with the current vendor. That means Tennessee children will take the test online as scheduled.
The state also says all school districts have met the criteria for “technical readiness”
Testing starts next Monday.
