Tennessee rolls out new app to stop school violence

A new cell phone app is designed to help combat school violence in Tennessee.

It’s for everyone to use, and your tips are anonymous.

The goal is to stop school violence in our area before it starts.

The SafeTN App was rolled out just last week. It’s barely been publicized but already they have tips coming in.

According to Brice Allen of the State Department of Safety andHomeland Safety is hoping that people will send tipi about gun violence, physical violence and threats of violence.

He expects to see a lot of tips coming in on the Safe Tennessee App by the beginning of the new school year.
