Researchers at the University of Tennessee have made a record-breaking discovery.

They discovered a 9.3-inch ling Berry Cave Salamander, making it the largest individual of any cave salamander in North America.

It was discovered by UT student Nicholas Gladstone.

According to UT, this kind of Salamander can only be found in 10 sites in Eastern Tennessee.

It is currently on a federal protections list.
