More than 2,000 residents in Clarksville were without power.

Of the 2,000 people, approximately 1800 of them were in the New Providence area of Clarksville.

CDE Lightband said they have crews in route to the area, but that the cause was unknown at this time.

The customers affected are in the area of Dover Road, Collinwood to Liberty Church, Evans Road, and surrounding areas.

Power was restored to Dover Road, Cunningham Lane, Evans Road, and surrounding areas.

CDE Lightband is asking some customers to turn down thermostats, as the load is very high. Turning down the thermostats will reduce the chance of the circuit breaker tripping.
