Fire causes heat, water damage to Kirchhoff Automotive Plant in Manchester

​MANCHESTER, Tenn. (WKRN) - A large fire caused an evacuation at a automotive plant in Manchester Wednesday. 

Manchester Fire responded to the scene of the fire at the KIRCHHOFF Automotive Plant around 5:30 p.m. and requested assistance from other counties near Coffee County. 

According to fire officials, the fire started in the outdoor container storage area and spread to the back-right side of the production area. 

The plant was evacuated in under six minutes and no injuries or deaths were reported. 

Officials said the building and some equipment suffered heat and water damage.
