A man is in custody after a road rage incident in Portland.

Christopher Pierce was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder after he shot at another car Thursday afternoon.

Police said Pierce and another car were up the road in Kentucky, past the state line, when the two drivers started flipping each other off over traffic maneuvering.

Officers said Pierce fired a single shot at the car, barely missing the driver.

A witness called police and followed Pierce to his job in Portland, getting his tag number for police.

Pierced turned himself in and police found a 9mm handgun in his car.

Since the incident began near the state line, Kentucky State Police was also involved.
