A search was underway Sunday near the Tennessee River Bridge on the Perry/Decatur Line.
According to an official at the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, the search for a young woman began around midnight Saturday.
They said a 19-year-old from Chester County was spray painting on the bridge’s catwalk when she accidentally fell into the river below.
The family confirmed with Tennessee River Valley News that the teen is 19-year-old Katelyn Campbell.
Perry County officials were called in around 5 a.m. Sunday, Decatur County officials were on the scene as well.
Additional search and rescue crews were being called in from West Tennessee.
As of 10 a.m. Sunday, no sightings had been reported.
