Teens taken into custody after Antioch carjacking

Two teenagers were taken into custody after a car was stolen at gunpoint from an Antioch apartment complex late Tuesday night.  

Officers were called to the Bell Hollow apartments on Cane Ridge Road around 11:20 p.m. 

Metro police said the victim was approached by several suspects who were in a white Dodge Charger. At least one of the suspects was reportedly armed with a handgun. 

A teen took the victim’s 2013 Toyota Prius and sped off along with the Charger, according to police. The victim was not injured.  

Around 12:30 a.m., both vehicles were located at the Hickory Lake Apartments on Apache Trail in South Nashville.  

The Charger sped off and officers pursued the vehicle to the 4800 block of Nolensville Pike where the teen driver was taken into custody, according to Metro police. Another teen was arrested near the Prius on Apache Trail.  

No additional information was immediately released. The investigation is ongoing.
