The teenager accused of hitting and killing a tourist in downtown Nashville has been released from the hospital.
Seventeen-year-old Nafarious Howard had been recovering from injuries he sustained after jumping from a retaining wall while running away from police.
Howard is accused of carjacking a vehicle from an apartment complex in Donelson. A witness followed on a high-speed chase until Metro police were able to catch up with him.
Howard allegedly hit 24-year-old Corey Taylor while fleeing police. Taylor, who was visiting from Arkansas to participate in the Tough Mudder, died at the scene.
Howard will appear in court next Tuesday.
