The FBI and National Park Service are investigating a suspicious death at Mammoth Cave National Park.

A spokesperson for Mammoth Cave National Park told News 2 that a person contacted authorities around 9:40 a.m. Monday after finding an unresponsive person at Zion Hill Cemetery near Park City Road in the Barren County portion of the park.

The Park City Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and contacted national park rangers at 10 a.m. regarding a deceased female.

Hours later, investigators identified the woman as Mariah Amber Decru, a 23-year-old from Park City, Kentucky.

Her official cause of death was pending the medical examiner’s report and various test results, officials said.
